Private 1-on-1 Photography Lessons

One-on-One Photography Training Built Around You and Your Needs

The fastest way to really understand your camera is one-on-one. We work with your gear and your style, dial in the correct settings for the photos you want, and clear up confusion in minutes—not months. You’ll get hands-on coaching, immediate feedback, and a simple plan to keep improving.

Perfect for: brand-new DSLR/mirrorless owners, “rusty returners,” travelers prepping for a trip, and anyone who wants personalized help with exposure, focus, composition, or editing.

What we can cover (you choose)

  • Camera setup & manual mode (aperture, shutter speed, ISO—made simple)
  • Reliable focus for portraits, action, and low light
  • Composition & seeing light so your photos feel intentional
  • Your camera’s menus & custom buttons (so the camera helps, not fights)
  • Lightroom/Photoshop basics (optional): import, cull, clean edits, export

You’ll leave with a repeatable “Seven Steps” checklist and a 15-minute practice routine you can use after every lesson.

How a first lesson works

  1. A quick chat about your goals and the photos you want to make
  2. Hands-on coaching with your camera (and a simple demo shoot if in person)
  3. Immediate feedback and small tweaks that make a big difference
  4. Take-home plan: concise notes + practice assignment + resource links
